Today we have the closing round of the Super League - Champions League qualifiers Play-offs.
Those two are scheduled to be played simultaneously.
- On the one game we have a serious battle that will define which team will take the Champions League qualifiers ticket. Panathinaikos (1st) has a 2 points advantage, so AEK (2nd) will have to fight in order to come out of this game with all 3 points.
- On the other game we have a game that appears to have low interest, but as we will explain that is not entirely true. At the press conference Boloni (PAOK's coach) stated that although PAOK has lost the CL qualifiers ticket, they still need the win on this last game as it is possible that they will finish 2nd. That will mean that his team will take the second best Europa League ticket (the best Europa League ticket is already secured by Atromitos by playing on the Cup final with Olympiacos). So if they achieve that his team will play on a later Europa League qualifiers stage and they will have more time to relax and prepare on summer.
Of course Atromitos wont be an easy opponent. The squad is full of young players with high ambitions, and tonight is a nice game for them to show their skills.
