All games of Primeira Liga are scheduled to be played at the same time (simultaneously) on Saturday 5th of May.

There are 2 games left on this year's Primeira Liga and
  1. Most mid-table teams don't have any important goal to chase until the end of the championship.
  2. The title is basically on the hands of Porto.
  3. The European tickets are already "booked".
  4. Several teams fight to avoid relegation.
 Let's take a deeper look
  • Porto (1st) is 6 points ahead of Benfica (2nd) and it's almost impossible to lose the title.
  • Benfica  (2nd) is 4 points ahead of Braga (3rd) so with only 2 games left on Primeira League the 2nd place that leads directly (without qualifiers) to Champions League seems secured.
  • Braga (3rd) is 3 points ahead of Sporting (4rth) so Braga would rather try to secure the 3rd place than chase something more.
  • The other European tickets are almost secured, and only Guimaraes (6th) has very little chances to steal the last ticket from Maritimo (5th). This would happen only if Guimaraes wins the last two games and Maritimo loses both games.
  • At the last positions we find mainly (and realistically) 4 teams that fight to avoid relegation. Those are Leiria (16), Academica (15), Feirense (14) and Rio Ave (13). So Saturday's games are very crucial for their survival.
League Position:
  • 1,2 take the Champions League tickets
  • 3 take the Champions League qualifiers ticket
  • 4,5 take the Europa League tickets
  • 15,16 are relegated
