The Battle of Manchester

One city..Two teams..One trophy!

Last year's battle for the trophy fired up their rivalry. Their battle for the title lasted till the last game and the champion was Manchester City.

As Sir Alex Ferguson has mentioned on an interview last year, "The neighbors became louder", and now United will have to prove today that they are the boss of the town and shout the voices of City's fans.

Besides the loss of the championship United fans also remember the devastating defeat against their rivals on October 23 last year, the the final score was 1-6. So today Man Utd will come out on the pitch for a perfect game that will give them a chance to have a payback and get back their pride.

On the other side although City may be overjoyed by last year's capture of the trophy, the poor performance of the team on the European games this year (finishing last on their group) is something that created a bad atmosphere both to the fans and the team itself. So today they will aim for a win that will bring back some smiles.

Analysis: Premier League - Sun 9

There are only two games on today's English Premier League. This is the 16th round of the championship.

A very interesting matchday, let's see..

  1. The first game is the Classic Derby of Manchester. A fierce rivalry that became even more intense last year when Man Utd lost the championship by their neighbors.
  2. Both teams were impressive so far. They both target for the Champions League ticket so today's game can give an advantage to the winner.
  3. Liverpool finally starts getting results on the championship. So today's game against as tough opponent as West Ham will prove if they are ready to aim for more than just mid table finish.
Here is the Analysis of the today's games..

Manchester City vs Manchester United
  • 2
  • Over 2.5 Goals
Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur
  • 2
  • Over 2.5 Goals
West Ham United vs Liverpool
  • X
  • 2 to 3 Goals
The most probable results according to the algorithm are:
  1. Manchester City vs Manchester United: Over 2.5 Goals
  2. Everton Tottenham Hotspur: 2

Analysis: Premier League - Sat 8

There are six games on today's English Premier League. This is the 16th round of the championship.

The teams we need to keep an eye on today's games are Arsenal,West Brom, Chelsea and QPR.
  1. Arsenal is on the 10th position of the league table, something unusual for this team, far away from the European positions.
  2. West Brom's overall appearance is outstanding this season. They are on the 5th place and dream a European ticket for next year. But the losses on their last two games cost them some very valuable points.
  3. Chelsea still aim for their first home win from the time Rafa Benitez was appointed. In mid week's European game they were impressive, so it is natural that they will keep their good form on today's game. Also they need the points on the chase for the 1st place.
  4. QPR also has a new man in charge. The new manager was appointed in order to save the team from the relegation.
Here is the Analysis of the today's games..

Arsenal vs West Bromwich Albion

  • Over 2.5 Goals
Aston Villa vs Stoke
  • X
